Pinion Videos
Get screen recordings of shoppers narrating their thinking as they browse your listing, surface objections you didn't know you had, and turn them into Polls.
Pinion Videos
A Pinion Video is a screen recording of a shopper working through a listing while narrating their thinking. Where a Poll tells you which option wins, a Video tells you what's wrong in the first place.
Run one when conversion is disappointing and you can't say why.
Setting it up
Choose a type. Any URL records shoppers viewing any link, including an Amazon listing, a Walmart page, a Shopify store, or a public Google Drive or Dropbox folder for a product that doesn't exist yet. Amazon Search Mockup records them viewing a search simulation you build.
Write the setup. Shoppers read this before recording. Put them in the buying mindset: "Pretend you're in the market for the following product."
Ask up to three questions. These are answered out loud, in order. The strongest sets move from open to specific:
- Walk me through what you're thinking as you look at this listing.
- What makes you hesitate, feel unsure, or decide not to buy?
- Do you trust the brand? Why or why not?
Don't ask shoppers what they'd change. They'll design for you, badly. Ask what confused or bothered them and do your own designing.
What you get back
Each response is a video with a transcript, plus an AI summary broken into key points, sentiment and suggested actions, and a key takeaway.
Five videos will usually surface an objection you didn't know you had. Turn that objection into a Pinion Poll and you have your next test.
This page is a draft. The walkthrough is written from the wizard, but the available video types need confirming. One is behind a feature flag.
Pinion Videos use a separate credit balance from Polls and Asks. Check your credits and plans before running a video test.
