Tilted Image Test

Test whether a tilted main image attracts more shoppers without hiding the product details they need to identify and evaluate it.

Tilted Image Test

Create a variation of your main image that's tilted or on a different angle. This test is especially useful when competing listings typically show their products straight on.

The question this answers

Do shoppers prefer a main image with a tilted image?

What shoppers are asked

Shoppers see your image options and choose the product they would be most likely to buy. They also explain why they made that choice.

Pretend you're browsing on Amazon. Which product would you be most likely to buy? Why?

How to read the result

Read the explanations before the vote. A tilted shot wins when it breaks the visual rhythm of a results row where every competitor is square-on. Shoppers may say things like "it caught my eye" or "I could see it better." It loses when the angle hides something they needed, such as a label, a size cue, or how the product sits on a counter.

Check what shoppers say they can see. The failure mode here is subtle. A tilt that looks dynamic in isolation can make the product harder to identify at thumbnail size. Shoppers will tell you when that happens, with comments such as "I wasn't sure what it was." That is a loss even if the vote is close.

If the straight-on control wins, treat it as a real finding, not a wasted test. Some categories read "professional" as square-on, and you have saved yourself a reshoot.
